Items suitable for recycling bin: Paper: Newspapers, Magazines, Paper Wrapping Cardboard: Boxes , packaging Plastic: Bottles, Carrier Bags, Labels, Containers, Wrapping Tins: Drink Cans, Food Tins
Materials NOT SUITABLE for the recycle bin: Household Waste: Food Stuffs, Tea Bags, Organic Waste Disposable Nappies Ashes Or Garden Waste Electrical Goods: Batteries, Light Bulbs, Computers, Televisions etc. Glass: Bottles / Jars etc.
Do your part --- dispose of glass and electrical products in the proper manner. GLASS: Glass can be disposed of in any of the bottle banks in your area. ELECTRICAL: Under the WEEE regulations (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations) (SI 340 of 2005), with any electrical item, when you purchase a replacement product, hand the old equivalent product back to the retailer. They should accept it as a requirement under the WEEE Regulations (SI 340 of 2005). |
